JOB VACANCY: LEGAL CLERK

Location: Upperhill

We are seeking a competent, reliable, and detail-oriented Legal Clerk to join our legal team. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in legal procedures and have prior experience working in a law firm or legal department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, format, and file legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
  • File court documents physically and through e-filing systems
  • Maintain and organize case files and client records
  • Schedule court dates, client meetings, and follow-ups
  • Liaise with courts, registries, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Assist advocates with case preparation and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and timelines
  • Handle confidential information with discretion

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Law (LLB), Paralegal Studies, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a law firm or legal environment
  • Strong understanding of court procedures and legal documentation
  • Experience with legal drafting and case management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal filing systems
