Role Objective

A reputable mid-sized law firm offering services in litigation, property law, corporate practice, and estate matters seeks to hire a competent, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual to support its administrative and operational functions.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, and organize legal documents for filing
  • File court documents and other legal paperwork at relevant registries
  • Collect, deliver, and track documents between courts, law firms, and related offices
  • Maintain well-organized legal files and ensure proper document storage systems
  • Record and update hearing dates, mention dates, and case schedules
  • Monitor ongoing cases and provide timely updates to management
  • Compile case materials and assist in preparing basic case reports
  • Ensure proper service of legal documents to relevant parties
  • Assist advocates and paralegals in retrieving and organizing case files
  • Maintain litigation registers and departmental filing systems
  • Support document copying, scanning, and archiving activities
  • Liaise with court registry officers and other legal stakeholders
  • Perform any other clerical or legal support duties as assigned.

Job Specifications and Qualifications

  • Diploma in Law, Legal Studies, or Business Administration (from a recognized institution)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a law firm or legal environment
  • Experience in court filing and document handling is required
  • Good understanding of litigation processes is an added advantage
