Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH) is a leading National Referral Hospital with a 650 bed capacity and equipped with state-of-art medical amenities. The hospital is well equiped to offer Oncology, Trauma & Orthopedics, Renal among other services. The Hospital is located along Northern Bypass Rd. near Kahawa West, Nairobi

Job Purpose

To provide physiotherapy services through patient assessment, rehabilitation, treatment planning, documentation, data collection, and reporting.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Head, Rehabilitative Services, the position holder will be responsible for the following:

  • Screening and assessing patients to determine physiotherapy needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Providing therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation services to support recovery and improve mobility.
  • Verifying and maintaining accurate patient information and treatment records.
  • Designing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment and clinical guidelines.
  • Writing patient case notes and compiling physiotherapy statistics for reporting and analysis.
  • Collecting data for operational research to inform service improvement.
  • Sensitizing the community on physiotherapy issues and promoting awareness of rehabilitation services.
  • Preparing periodic reports on physiotherapy activities and outcomes.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Registration with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
  • Valid license from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Compliance with Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
