Responsibilities or duties

  • Competently driving assigned vehicles.
  • Deliver of goods / documents to designated outlets to and pick up from specified locations.
  • Observe and adhere to traffic and NTSA rules at all times.
  • Ensure customer order, sales tickets are made out prior to loading and unloading system.
  • Verify all items listed on the work order / sales ticket and ensure safe loading and delivery.
  • Communicate safe storage and handling procedures to customers upon delivery.
  • In liaison with the supervisor responsible for the trip, coordinate movement schedule in the most effective way to avoid interruptions.
  • Maintaining work ticket for vehicles assigned and submit trip report to the supervisor daily.
  • Present a copy of each transaction to the customer after each delivery.
  • Responsible for the safety and security of the vehicles assigned to you at all times and that of the passenger, vehicle accessories and or goods therein.
  • Checking validity of road license, insurance and other relevant documents.
  • Confirming that repairs are done as per job card before collection of vehicles from the garage.
  • Ensure timely report on vehicles due for servicing and maintenance.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Collection of supplies and delivery of goods/documents to our designated outlets.
  • Ensuring proper confirmation and documentation of goods in transit.
  • Ensuring vehicle is always maintained in good condition, clean at all times.
  • Monitoring Cold Chain Temperatures – Storage at Right Compartments
  • Observing rules and regulation of motor vehicle handling when driving.
  • Responsible for carrying out basic routine checks on vehicle, i.e. checking the oil, lighting, electrical, braking and tire pressure maintenance on a daily basis prior to commencing any trip.
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously with a friendly smile and a hello, and thank them for their business.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is fueled at designated fueling station and minimum level of fuel (quarter tank) is maintained at all times.
  • Maintain an up to date record of vehicles servicing, insurance and bring to the attention of the supervisor date of the next services and or renewal.
  • Safe custody of the fuel card under your care at all times.
  • Ensures that the Vehicle use policies is adhered to at all times.
  • Using the relevant reporting forms, immediately report any incidents and or accidents, within 24 hours of incident or accident.

Qualifications or requirements 

Experience needed
