Responsibilities

  • Managing the Fund's portfolio of securities to ensure profitability and compliance with the Fund's risk management policy;
  • Monitoring the external Fund Managers in the implementation and compliance with the Fund's Investment Policy;
  • Coordinating the presentation by the Fund Managers Management;
  • Review goals and strategies with Fund Managers, Investment Advisors and Custodians;
  • Performing or evaluating research, such as detailed company or industry analyses, to inform financial forecasting, and decision-making on investment opportunities;
  • Undertaking actuarial valuations;
  • Adhering to statutory and regulatory requirements; and
  • Undertaking Portfolio construction; Asset allocation, identification and analysis of new opportunities.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields from a recognized institution;
  • Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields from a recognized institution;

Knowledge Requirements

  • Served for a cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years, three (3) of which must be at the grade of Assistant Manager, Investment Officer, PSSF 4 or in comparable position
  • Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
  • Must be CIFA or CFA finalist or equivalent
  • Membership to CIFA, CFA or equivalent professional body in good standing;
  • Practicing license where applicable
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Fulfilled requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Experience Qualifications

  • Served for a cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years, three (3) of which must be at the grade of Assistant Manager, Investment Officer, PSSF 4 or in comparable position;

Professional membership

  • Membership to CIFA, CFA or equivalent professional body in good standing
