Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the affairs of the Authority.
  • The exercise and performance of the objectives, functions and duties of the Authority, and the general administration of the Authority.
  • Be the Accounting Officer of the Authority.
  • Providing strategic direction and leadership in line with the Authority’s Mandate, Vision, and Mission.
  • Developing, recommending to the Board, and implementing corporate policies, long-term strategies, privatization transactions, and annual operating budgets.
  • Providing leadership and guidance in the implementation of the Privatization programme and specific Privatization Proposals, including building effective working relationships with all stakeholders, leading complex financial transactions and nego-tiations.
  • Providing prudent financial management by ensuring that sound policies and practices are adopted to create attractive privatization transactions and effectively implementing a privatization programme that meets the desired national objectives.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing the executive leadership team to ensure excellent performance and effective succession planning in the Authority.
  • Fostering a conducive corporate culture that promotes strong ethical practices, good governance, employee productivity, and compliance with legal, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

Requirements for Appointment:

  • Master’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or any other relevant degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or any other relevant degree.
  • Ten (10) years of work experience, five (5) of which shall be at a senior management level in a relevant field.
  • Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent leadership competencies and analytical skills.
  • Member of good standing in a relevant Professional Body.
  • Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Required Documents for Shortlisted Candidates:

  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA).
  • Valid Certificate of Clearance (HELB).
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (DCI).
  • Duly filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the EACC.
  • Valid Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
