Job Description

Installing, maintenance and repair of high technology medical equipment/plant and furniture; decommissioning of medical equipment and plants; supervising Medical Engineering works in a health facility; Analysing information for research; verifying medical equipment to ascertain quality and safety; Testing and calibrating medical equipment; Preparing Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule (PPMs); Maintaining information on medical engineering services for input into the Health information management system; Training users on use and maintenance of medical equipment; and Guiding and counselling of staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Medical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Industrial Technology (Medical Engineering option), Clinical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Registered with a relevant professional body; and Proficiency in computer application;

Relevant work experience

  • Installing, maintenance and repair of high technology medical equipment/plant and furniture
