Machakos County, nicknamed 'Macha,' was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.

Responsibilities or duties

Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs or medical/hospital equipment’s, plants, instruments and furniture.

Requisition for spare parts and consumables

Taking inventory of medical/hospital equipment’s, furniture and plants

Collecting information for research

Collecting information on medical engine engineering services for input into the Integrated Health Information Management System

Carrying out minor repairs of health facilities and utilities

Implementing medical engineering programmes and projects.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

• Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs or medical/hospital equipment’s, plants, instruments and furniture.
• Requisition for spare parts and consumables
• Taking inventory of medical/hospital equipment’s, furniture and plants
• Collecting information for research
