The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising end-to-end ERP solutions that meet complex business requirements while ensuring scalability, security, and long-term sustainability.

The role translates business strategy into robust Business Central architectures, leads technical and functional teams, and serves as the key bridge between clients, stakeholders, and developers to ensure successful project delivery and digital transformation using the Microsoft ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

Design end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solution architectures aligned with client business processes and strategic objectives.

Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable ERP architectures.

Define functional and technical blueprints, ensuring optimal use of standard Business Central capabilities and extensions.

Implementation & Delivery Leadership

Lead solution delivery across the full ERP lifecycle: discovery, design, build, test, deployment, and post-go-live optimisation.

Ensure architectural integrity throughout the implementation, balancing functional fit with technical best practices.

Oversee integrations between Business Central and other systems (e.g., CRM, payroll, WMS, payment platforms, cloud services).

Governance, Standards & Best Practices

Define and enforce architecture standards, design principles, and development best practices.

Ensure solutions comply with Microsoft recommended patterns, security standards, and performance guidelines.

Review and approve functional designs, technical specifications, and customisation scopes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

Act as the primary solution authority for clients, senior stakeholders, and internal teams.

Lead architecture and solution workshops with business and IT leaders.

Provide strategic guidance on digital transformation, process optimisation, and roadmap planning using the Microsoft ecosystem.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Guide and mentor functional consultants and developers, ensuring cohesive delivery across teams.

Collaborate closely with project managers to manage scope, risks, timelines, and dependencies.

Support pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, architecture definition, and high-level estimations.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central updates, Power Platform, Azure services, and integration technologies.

Identify opportunities to improve solution performance, scalability, and user adoption.

Contribute to reusable solution frameworks and internal accelerators.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field.

A master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.

Experience

7–10 years of experience delivering ERP solutions, with at least 5 years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).

Proven experience designing enterprise-grade ERP architectures and leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams.

Strong background in system integrations, data migration, and cloud-based solutions.

Certifications (Highly Preferred)

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Expert

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (advantage)

TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification (advantage)
