JOB DETAILS:
Officer- Credit Systems Maintenance

JOB PURPOSE:
The role is responsible for booking loans, disbursing funds to internal accounts, marking overdrafts, temporary overdrafts, invoice discounting, bill discounting, credit cards, letters of credit and letters of guarantee limits as per sanction terms, recovering arrears, loan re-structuring, pre-payment, payoff of loans, closure of nil loan accounts, maintenance of interest rates, uploading of end month credit adjustment entries, processing of write off entries, asset classification maintenance and collection of all credit related income due to the Bank while ensuring absolute data integrity since the data captured form strong basis for portfolio and financial performance analyses. Additionally, carry out query management related to credit facilities data input.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reviewing and confirming that all requests for system maintenance are duly approved by the appropriate authority before being effected;
• Carrying out all credit related maintenance in the system as may be required in accordance with the sanction terms while ensuring absolute data integrity.
• Facilitate remittance of funds meant for third party payment through Internal Transfers, RTGS or TT
• Generating and dispatching repayment schedules to Relationship Managers and Branch Managers;
• Generating and advising interest statements on overdrafts and loans;
• Collecting all credit related income due to the Bank and ensuring there’s no income leakage;
• Preparing audit confirmation reports for Auditors of the Bank’s clients;
• Booking of IPF loans while ensuring that post-dated cheques are updated in the register while ensuring safe custody of the post-dated cheques and banking the same on due dates.
• Closure of loan accounts with Nil balances
• Maintenance of interest rates, uploading of end month credit adjustment entries, processing of write off entries as well as asset classification maintenance
• Consistency in adherence to and effective application of established credit administration systems (policies, processes, and tools) to achieve optimal compliance, efficiency and cost containment
• Carrying out daily call back exercises to ensure that booking of facilities is done correctly and in accordance with terms of sanction and credit related income due to the Bank is collected;
• Responding to internal and external customer queries related to system maintenance
• Management of the CRM que by ensuring that requests and complaints raised are actioned within the specified turnaround time.
• Timely collection of all credit related income due to the Bank and ensuring there’s no income leakage;
• Undertakes proper and up to date filing of the Disbursement checklists and other credit operations related communications
• Attend to any other official duties as may be allocated from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:
Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field from a recognized Institution

Experience
• A least 3 years Banking experience
• Knowledge of Credit and Operations Modules. Finacle 10 knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in use of relevant MS Office application.

Technical Competencies
• Banking Knowledge.
• Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and guidance to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks
• Numerical skills extended to good understanding of compounded interest computation.
• Sufficient knowledge and understanding of core banking system, Finacle 10(Credit and Operations modules/menus) and other peripheral systems (CLOS, RLOS, WAY4)
• Considerate understanding of certain functions departments namely Credit, Operations, Projects, IT, Treasury and Trade Services.

Skills and Attributes

• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision; and
• Basic banking and core banking system knowledge
