Purpose

One of the leading cement manufacturing companies in Kenya is looking to fill the position of Packing Plant Operator. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of the roto packer machine, contributing to uninterrupted cement packaging and dispatch.

Key Duties/ Responsibilities

• Physically inspect the roto packer machine and operate it efficiently according to established guidelines.
• Report all observed cement bag defectiveness and any malfunctions that contribute to bag damage.
• Regularly confirm packed cement weights and ensure clear coding on all bags.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the operational area.
• Assist in corrective maintenance activities as required.
• Perform other assigned duties as directed by the Packing Plant Operator.

Academic and professional Qualifications and experience required

• Proven hands-on experience of at least 2 years in cement roto packer operations.
• Any other relevant technical qualification will be considered an added advantage.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Ability to regularly lift over 30kgs.
