Job Summary

The Pharmacist will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical services. The role involves dispensing medications, managing pharmacy stock, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing professional guidance on the proper use of medicines to patients and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense medications and review prescriptions for appropriateness and safety.
  • Provide counseling to patients on dosage, proper use of medicines, and possible side effects.
  • Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, including stock levels and expiry dates.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate pharmaceutical records and documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement and ensure consistent availability of essential medicines.
  • Work closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient treatment outcomes.
  • Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff where applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a pharmacist.
  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions, prescriptions, and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Good communication, organizational, and patient counseling skills.
