Background

Our client, in the financial sector, is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyans to fill the following vacant position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementing administration policies, standards, guidelines, regulations and procedures.
- Coordinating disaster management and emergency response activities.
- Ensuring assets and equipment for the Corporation are insured.
- Supervising general and outsourced administrative services.
- Coordinating transport services of staff in the Corporation for efficient delivery of services.
- Coordinating property management in the Corporation.
- Supervising maintenance, a property profile including land details, lease terms, size of property, usage, income generated among other details.
- Guiding development and implementation of property maintenance schedules.
- Supervising security services in the Corporation.
- Supervising maintenance of the administrative inventory register.
- Ensuring effective management and custody of the Corporation’s assets in order to have accurate record inventory and safety of all property.
- Guiding in the management of grounds maintenance and custodial services.
- Instituting transport services including repairs, maintenance, insurance and licensing of vehicles.
- Ensuring the administration of division staff to ensure efficient delivery of quality services through performance evaluation.
- Coordinating the preparation of the division’s annual budget.
- Ensuring timely response to administrative issues by communicating to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Conducting regular inspections of the Corporation’s property and ensuring a report is done in a timely manner.
- Ensuring safe custody of Corporation’s assets including office premises, vehicle, office equipment and furniture through maintaining accurate and up to date records.
Qualifications and Experience
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Cumulative period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience three (3) years of which should have been in the grade of Senior Administration Officer, or in a comparable position.
- Bachelor's Degree in any of the following: - Business Administration, Public Administration, Business Management, Political Science, Community Development, Education, Governance, Conflict Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) Weeks from a recognized institution.
- Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
