A company in a recycling industry is hiring a Procurement Coordinator to join their Finance Department – Procurement Team.
Purpose of the Role:
The Procurement Coordinator will lead and oversee the company’s procurement operations, ensuring effective supplier sourcing, cost efficiency, compliance with company policies, and alignment with organizational strategy. The role involves supervising procurement staff, coordinating inter-departmental needs, managing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.

1. Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, approvals, and documentation. 2. Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, and contract management to achieve cost savings. 3. Coordinate with internal departments to consolidate procurement needs and ensure timely deliveries. 4. Supervise and mentor procurement staff to ensure compliance with company and statutory policies. 5. Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues. 6. Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure audit readiness. 7. Conduct market analysis and support strategic sourcing decisions. 8. Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and risk management.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and contract management skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems and solid knowledge of procurement laws and ethical standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field. • KCSE Grade (B) and above is a must • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) will be an added advantage. • Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in procurement and supply chain, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
