Role Context
This role goes beyond supervision. It requires a professional who understands that production efficiency, food safety compliance, and quality assurance directly impact customer satisfaction, export standards, and business profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily packhouse operations and ensure production targets are consistently met
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, GlobalG.A.P.)
- Supervise, coach, and mentor production teams to improve performance and accountability
- Conduct ongoing quality checks to meet regulatory and customer expectations
- Optimize material usage, reduce waste, and support cost efficiency
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Enforce workplace safety and hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety systems and production best practices
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in food processing, fresh produce, or packhouse supervision
