Grevy's Zebra Trust (GZT) is a Kenyan conservation organization conserving the endangered Grevy's zebra and its habitat in northern Kenya. We are seeking a Programs Director who will be a key member of GZT's Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and oversee the Rangelands Manager, Regional Coordinators, and the Gender and Youth Coordinator to ensure that they have the necessary tools and support needed to implement their programs effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate GZT's Strategic Plan into field reality through fiscal discipline, community engagement, and county-level influence on rangeland restoration and peace-building.

  • Drive the full grants cycle from deliverable tracking to timely reporting, while engaging donors on the ground and at international events to unlock new areas of investment.
  • Amplify GZT's field impact across donor reports, academic journals, social media, and community media, while keeping internal communications and SMART data collection on track.
  • Contribute to GZT's strategic direction as an active SLT member, fostering cross-departmental collaboration and cascading leadership learning across the wider team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in wildlife conservation, rangelands management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' senior leadership experience managing teams, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent working knowledge of Holistic Land and Livestock Management
  • Fluent Maa and English speaker (spoken and written)
