Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nyeri for a Psychiatric Nurse. The Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients facing psychiatric conditions. Daily tasks include administering medications, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, developing patient care plans, offering emotional support, and educating families about mental health. The nurse will also monitor patient progress, ensure compliance with treatment protocols, and contribute to creating a safe and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Mental Health Nursing, with the ability to assess and treat patients effectively
• Strong knowledge of Mental Health Care best practices and Psychiatry
• Solid grounding in Medicine and general Nursing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interaction
• Relevant professional certifications and a valid license to practice as a nurse
• Experience in a mental health or psychiatric care setting is highly advantageous
• Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to ethical practices
