Pump Operator

Job Summary

The Pump Operator will operate and monitor water pumps and related irrigation equipment to ensure reliable water supply for farm production and other operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pumps and irrigation equipment according to established procedures.
• Monitor water flow, pressure, and pump performance.
• Conduct routine inspections of pumps and related equipment.
• Identify and report faults, leaks, or abnormal operation.
• Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of pumping equipment.
• Maintain records of pump operation and water usage where required.
• Ensure efficient use of water resources.
• Follow all farm health and safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience operating pumps, irrigation systems, or similar equipment.
• Basic mechanical or technical knowledge.
• Ability to identify equipment faults.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically fit.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts when required.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
