Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Capital Executive — Recruitment & Selection to lead and manage recruitment activities across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. This regional role is responsible for delivering timely, compliant and high-quality staffing solutions that align with our client business needs.
The successful candidate will oversee the workforce planning, job profiling, talent attraction, interviews, onboarding and induction, while ensuring adherence to labour laws in each jurisdiction. They will serve as the regional recruitment lead, coordinating closely with in-country Human Capital Executives in Uganda and Tanzania to deliver seamless, consistent and professional recruitment services across borders.
• Recruitment & Selection: Lead and manage the full recruitment cycle across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, including workforce planning, job profiling, advertising, assessments, interviews, feedback, background checks, contracting and building talent pipelines. • Onboarding: Oversee seamless employee entry and exit processes by standardizing induction, coordinating with support functions, managing probationary reviews and ensuring smooth clearance and exit reporting. • Workforce Planning & Succession Support: Support the Human Capital Manager in manpower planning, budgeting and identifying potential successors, while strengthening graduate, internship and trainee programmes. • Regional Oversight & Coordination: Act as the regional lead for recruitment by guiding in-country Human Capital Executives, harmonizing processes, consolidating metrics and driving cross-country employer branding initiatives. • Reporting & Process Improvement: Track, analyze and report recruitment KPls, prepare dashboards and updates, and continuously recommend process improvements to enhance candidate and Manager experience. • Employer Branding & Talent Pipelines: Position our client as an employer of choice by building partnerships with universities and agencies, participating in career fairs and branding campaigns, as well as managing graduate and internship programmes. • Compliance & Policy: Ensure all recruitment and selection practices comply with labour laws in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, while upholding company policies, group guidelines and data protection standards. • Service Excellence in Recruitment: Deliver a superior recruitment experience to candidates and hiring Managers by ensuring professionalism, timely communication and strong stakeholder relationships that protect and promote our client employer brand.
• Experience with HRIS and ATS systems. • Proficient in interviewing, using assessment tools and conducting competency-based recruitment. • Strong reporting and analytical skills (e.g. recruitment metrics and dashboards). • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills coupled with a high level of integrity
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field. • CHRP or an equivalent HR certification is required. • Membership in IHRM or a regional HR professional body is required. • At least 5 years of proven experience in Human Capital, including a minimum of two years focused on recruitment or talent acquisition. Experience with graduate and internship programmes is desirable.
