Job Summary
We are seeking a highly safety-conscious and detail-oriented Refueling Operator to join our Aviation Depot team at JKIA. The role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of into-plane refuelling services, in line with international aviation standards.
This position reports to the Depot Superintendent and plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence, compliance, and safety within a high-risk aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute safe and efficient aircraft refuelling operations in compliance with JIG, KAA, and company aviation procedures.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain refuelling equipment according to approved schedules and standards.
- Conduct quality control checks on hydrant servicers and refuellers to ensure delivery of clean, on-spec fuel.
- Accurately prepare and manage Aircraft Delivery Receipts (ADRs), ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Monitor and account for stock and meter readings for assigned equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, ADRs, and shift handover records.
- Report incidents, near-misses, and accidents promptly in line with depot procedures.
- Participate actively in airside and depot safety programs, meetings, and emergency drills.
- Ensure consistent and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Promote a strong safety culture by identifying and reporting non-conformances
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) is an added advantage.
- 1–3 years’ experience in aviation fuelling, depot operations, or a similar high HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) environment.
- Proven experience operating or driving fuel handling or heavy-duty vehicles in controlled environments.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, compliance, and operational standards.
- Experience conducting equipment inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Ability to work under strict regulatory and audit requirements.
Certifications & Requirements
- Valid driving license (Class B, C1, and/or E).
- Airside Driving Permit (ADP) is an added advantage.
