Responsibilities or duties
The Regional Household Survey Consultant has the responsibility for supporting the preparation and implementation and quality assurance of relevant country survey operations through the provision of specialized technical assistance during the various phases of the implementation (remote and on-site), review of survey documents, oversight of MICS activities and trainings.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Education: MA Social Sciences, Demography, Statistics, Epidemiology, or other related technical field with significant measurement or analysis component is required
Language Requirements: Fluency in English
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills: Expertise in statistical analyses (familiarity with data processing and data analysis software such as CSPro and SPSS);
Experience needed
Work Experience: At least 10 years’ experience in the coordination and/or management of quantitative household surveys such as MICS (DHS is an asset); Experience of collaborating with National Statistics Offices in ESAR; and in training and capacity strengthening of national counterparts on MICS survey methodology Experience in survey data tabulations and quality assessments and survey report preparations Experience in field testing of survey instruments and provision of TA an asset Experience in Mental health, violence and Foundational learning modules an asset
