Background

Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, supervise the service team, ensure excellent guest experiences, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front & back-of-house operations.
  • Lead, mentor, schedule, and manage staff performance.
  • Manage cash handling, POS reconciliations, inventory, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with Public Health, NEMA, OSHA & county licensing.
  • Maintain high guest experience standards and handle escalations.
  • Coordinate with the chef on menus, specials, and food quality.
  • Oversee events, promotions, and smooth coordination across teams.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports and communicate with senior management.
  • Manage digital systems including POS, M-Pesa STK push & online reservations.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years’ experience in Restaurant Management (high-volume preferred).
  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • Strong financial, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan hospitality compliance & licensing.
  • Proficient with POS systems, digital payments & inventory tools.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends & holidays.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate is an added advantage.
