Background

Makueni County Public Service Board is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012 whose mandate includes appointing persons to hold or act in the offices of County Public Service. In order to strengthen the capacity of the Public Service, the Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions as per Section 59 of the County Governments' Act 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:- Collection, accounting and reporting on revenue collected and maintaining such revenue records as shall be prescribed by the County Receiver of Revenue.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (Plus) or its approved equivalent;
  • Have certificate in any of the following disciplines: - Business Administration, Business management, Accountancy, Tax Administration, Revenue Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Have certificate in computer applications.

1. Interested applicants should download and fill Application for Employment form revised 2026, the form can be downloaded from the Board website; :

2. Written applications addressed to the undersigned should be submitted together with a detailed Curriculum Vitae, copy of ID/Passport, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials and any other relevant supporting documents;

3. Applicants should scan to pdf above documents and submit to the undersigned on or before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, 2nd April, 2026.

4. Applicants should clearly indicate the position applied for in the Mail Subject.

5. Any other mode of application submission shall not be admissible.

NOTE:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain clearance from the following institutions and the clearance certificates must be produced during the interviews;

  • The Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
  • The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
  • The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
  • The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and their names shall be published on the Boards website

Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce the following documents during the interview:

  • Original National Identity Card/passport
  • Original academic certificates
  • Original professional certificates and transcripts
  • Registration certificate (where necessary)
