Position Overview:
Our client is a leading distributor of wines and beverages in Kenya, seeking an experienced Sales Representative to expand our presence along the South and North Coast. If you’re a driven sales professional with deep local market knowledge, join Wine and More to drive sales, build lasting customer relationships, and grow with a market-leading team.
The ideal candidate has a strong sales and customer-management background, preferably in the beverage or wine industry, with a proven track record of driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share along the South and North Coast.
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new retail and wholesale accounts (hotels, restaurants, bars, shops).
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers; conduct regular account visits.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and territory revenue goals.
- Conduct product presentations, tastings, and promotions to drive demand.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Coordinate and support merchandising, stock placement, and promotional displays.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends; provide actionable market feedback.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries and stock availability.
- Train and support junior sales staff or brand ambassadors in the territory when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing, and responsible-supply regulations.
Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related filed
- Minimum 4 years’ sales experience, preferably in a similar industry
- Senior-level experience, ideally above Sales Representative level
- Strategic, proactive and results-oriented
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and managing a sales territory
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Excellent relationship-building and customer-service abilities
- Strong communication skills in English and Swahili
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior sales staff
- Good knowledge of local market dynamics along the South and North Coast
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the territory
- Proficient with MS Office and CRM tools for reporting and forecasting
- Understanding of beverage licensing and responsible supply requirements
- Based on either in the North Coast or South Coast or must be willing to relocate
