Background

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Driver to join our growing team at an International School in Kiambu, located at off Kiambu Road offering the Cambridge curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport learners and staff to and from school, trips, and other authorized destinations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the school vehicle is clean, safe, and roadworthy.
  • Observe all traffic laws, school transport policies, and road safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, vehicle maintenance, and incidents.
  • Report vehicle faults, accidents, delays, or any safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
  • A valid driving license, with the appropriate categories such as D1, D2, or equivalent, as required.
  • Clean driving record with good knowledge of road safety rules, traffic regulations, and defensive driving practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct basic vehicle checks, identify minor mechanical faults, and promptly report any major issues.
