About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Seasonal Cook Utility to join our team on a passenger ship. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our galley and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support the Head Cook and other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Manage inventory of food supplies and report any shortages.
  • Perform general cleaning duties in the galley and related areas.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work seasonal schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a galley environment, preferably on a cruise ship or in a high-volume catering setting, is a plus.

  • This is a seasonal position.
  • Accommodation and meals will be provided onboard.
