Background
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting processes at Virtual Pay International Ltd. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, managing financial controls, and providing strategic financial insights to the executive team. The Senior Accountant will also play a critical role in supporting audits, budgeting, and enhancing the efficiency of financial operations across the organization’s global footprint.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that comply with international standards. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings, providing strategic insights to management for decision-making.
General Ledger Management: Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to create accurate budgets. Regularly monitor budget performance, analyzing variances, and providing financial forecasts to support long term business strategy.
Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations and tax laws. Oversee tax filings and manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring the successful completion of interim and year-end audits.
Systems & Process Improvement: Implement and enhance accounting systems and processes to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy in financial operations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance and HR (for payroll), and external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions, ensuring effective financial management across the organization.
ISMS Responsibility: Ensure compliance with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies by safeguarding financial data and maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Implement internal controls to protect financial systems from unauthorized access and ensure secure handling of sensitive data.
