Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessing patient conditions and needs to determine the proper medication therapy to issue.
- Determining proper dosages and frequencies according to patient data.
- Explaining treatment regimens to patients and educating them on how to take them safely.
- Evaluating patients and liaising with physicians to identify any unknown risk factors.
- Documenting treatments and patient progress thoroughly.
- Ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care.
- Reviewing clinical trials and testing results to learn more about drug efficacy and side effects.
- Implementing safety and compliance measures to store medications.
- Dispensing medication according to treatment plans.
- Interpreting pharmaceutical data and performing medical research.
Requirements for Appointment
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) degree from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Masters’ degree in Clinical Pharmacy from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
