About the Role

The Senior Digital Health Lead, Malaria will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to advance the integration of digital health solutions within malaria programs in Kenya. This role will work closely with national and county malaria programs, implementing partners, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective design, implementation, and scale-up of digital tools and platforms that improve malaria surveillance, case management, data utilization, and overall program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for the integration of digital health solutions in malaria programs in Kenya.
  • Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, county health departments, and other partners to identify opportunities for digital health interventions to strengthen malaria control efforts.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of digital tools and platforms for malaria surveillance, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure that digital health solutions are aligned with national health information systems and standards.
  • Provide capacity building and training to program staff and stakeholders on the use of digital health tools.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of digital health interventions, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and innovations in digital health and malaria control.
  • Contribute to proposal development and fundraising efforts for digital health initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital health, health information systems, or public health program management, with a focus on infectious diseases, preferably malaria.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating digital health solutions in low-resource settings.
  • Strong understanding of malaria epidemiology, control strategies, and the health system in Kenya.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Fluency in English required.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital health, health information systems, or public health program management, with a focus on infectious diseases, preferably malaria.
