Key Responsibilities:
Strategic partnership and revenue generation:
- Identify and pursue fundraising/revenue sources across government, corporate, foundation, individual, and other donors, in collaboration with and close coordination with regional leadership and Business Development.
- Lead negotiations and finalize agreements (MOUs and contracts) that align with Pathfinder’s strategic objectives.
- Work with the BD Director, Regional directors, and Country Directors to identify high priority partnerships and develop targets for the countries and region.
- Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy and funding plan—including targeted, proactive outreach approaches to secure resources from key donors.
- Build a detailed landscape of strategic local partners, assessing their comparative strengths and capacities for possible inclusion in the country program’s proposal and business development initiatives.
- Develop scopes of work and teaming agreements with local partners.
- Contribute to strategic partnership-building efforts by identifying and supporting the development of 5 MOUs per country to enhance revenue stability.
- Liaise with institutional, private sector, and individual giving programs on building new donor relationships and generating new program opportunities.
Partnership Management and Stewardship:
- Serve as primary liaison for existing partners, ensuring transparent communication, timely reporting, and engagement.
- Develop and maintain internal donor engagement and communication channels (teams and ishare) for donor engagement and coordination.
- Organize and lead partner convenings and briefings to showcase impact and deepen alignment.
- Facilitate country-level partners engagement through regular communication with Country Directors and technical leads,
- Develop tools and resources to support in-country partnership engagement and stewardship
- Develop and maintain a database with contact information of established partners
- Develop and maintain a centralized partner database with up-to-date contact details, engagement history, and relationship status.
- Prepare monthly updates on the status of partnership development—highlighting key partnership opportunities, recent partnerships, priority partnerships, and recommended partnerships.
Visibility and Landscape Analysis:
- Collaborate with MEL teams to develop local and global material to showcase Pathfinder’s project and country program impact to position Pathfinder for expanded work within the country and across the region.
- Coordinates with local and global communications to ensure that all stakeholders are kept current with information on Pathfinder’s programs and impact in the country and worldwide, through successful collaboration with global Communications.
- Stays current on the competitive landscape at the country level for Pathfinder’s sectoral interests.
- Evaluates comparative strengths and weaknesses and complementarities of organizations working in the region.
- Maintains intelligence on donor priorities, interests, focal areas and opportunities.
- Stays current on Pathfinder’s comparative advantage strengths , and achievements at both the country and regional levels and advises on alignment with Pathfinder’s organizational strategy.
- Corporate capability statements – revises and updates capability statements to be shared with partners and donors as required.
- Supports regional leadership in donor engagement opportunities and visibility opportunities, including scheduling, logistics, donor briefs, pitch decks, and others as needed.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, marketing or related field, or a combination of education and experience in partnership and business development within the SRHR and/or international NGO sector.
- 10 years’ relevant work experience in partnership and business development with international NGO, donor engagement and/or global health sector.
- Proven writing and speaking skills using English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business management, communications, marketing or related field, or a combination of education and experience in partnership and business development within the SRHR and/or international NGO sector.
- 10 years’ international non-profit experience.
- Experience with non-USAID-funded projects
- Experience living or working in the Global South that aids in understanding of program context, field realities, and technical needs
- Fluency in French, Portuguese or Arabic
