Our client, a Service Center in Nairobi is in need of qualified and self-driven professionals to join its team in the position of Service Advisor (with technical knowledge on Parts)
Summary
The Service Advisor (with Parts focus) serves as the primary point of contact for service customers, guiding them through the repair process while also leveraging their expertise in vehicle parts to ensure efficient and accurate service. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, combined with a solid understanding of both vehicle service procedures and parts identification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet service customers promptly and professionally, building rapport and trust.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Provide clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare accurate service estimates, including parts and labor costs.
- Utilize parts knowledge to identify and order necessary components efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with service technicians regarding vehicle issues and parts requirements.
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle and any changes to the estimate.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Process repair orders and handle payment transactions.
- Schedule service appointments and manage the service workflow.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized service reception area.
- Potentially assist the parts department with parts identification or ordering as needed.
Qualifications
- College diploma/degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor in a motor vehicle service center.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in using parts and procurement management systems.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely.
Physical Demands
- May require standing and walking for extended periods.
- May involve some light lifting of paperwork or small items.
