We are seeking an experienced and hands-on site supervisor to supervise daily site operations, coordinate construction teams, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Position Summary
The Site supervisor will oversee day-to-day construction activities, supervise skilled and casual workers, coordinate subcontractors, monitor project progress, and ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
The Site supervisor will serve as the primary link between the site team and project management, ensuring smooth communication and efficient execution of all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Supervise all day-to-day construction activities on site.
- Allocate daily tasks to skilled workers and casual labourers.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor productivity and quality of workmanship.
- Resolve on-site technical and operational challenges promptly.
Workforce Management
- Supervise masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, steel fixers, and casual workers.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks before work begins.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
- Maintain daily labour attendance records.
- Mentor junior workers and promote teamwork.
- Report disciplinary issues to management.
Quality Assurance
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure projects meet client expectations.
- Conduct regular quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate site activities with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Engineers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress against work schedules.
- Communicate delays, risks, and resource requirements promptly.
- Participate in site meetings and progress reviews.
Material Management
- Receive and verify materials delivered to site.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Maintain accurate material inventory records.
- Report material shortages in advance.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all workers wear appropriate PPE.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections.
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Promote a safe working environment.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily site reports.
- Submit weekly progress reports.
- Maintain site diaries and construction records.
- Record labour attendance and equipment usage.
- Track completed works against project schedules.
- Report delays and recommend corrective actions.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Represent GGL professionally on site.
- Coordinate site visits with clients and consultants.
- Respond to client queries during project execution.
- Maintain positive working relationships with neighbours, suppliers, and local authorities where applicable.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Trade certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor.
- Experience supervising residential, commercial, or interior fit-out projects.
- Experience managing skilled artisans, subcontractors, and casual labourers.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
