Position Overview

Arklight Deep Den Campus is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join our supportive learning community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating an inclusive, adaptive, and nurturing educational environment that meets the diverse learning needs of each student. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans that empower students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Individualized Education Planning: Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique abilities, needs, and goals.
• Differentiated Instruction: Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that accommodate various learning styles and disabilities.
• Classroom Management: Foster a safe, structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and well-being.
• Assessment and Monitoring: Continuously assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and other professionals to provide a cohesive and supportive network for each student.
• Resource Development: Create and adapt teaching materials and resources to ensure they are accessible and effective for all learners.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Early Childhood Education with a focus on special needs). A PGDE or certification in Special Needs Education is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience working with children with a range of special educational needs (e.g., autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders).
• Deep understanding of various learning disabilities and intervention strategies.
• Exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with special needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and parents.
• Creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt teaching methods to individual student requirements.
