Summit Human Resource Consultant is recruiting a Raw Material Stores Clerk for a paint manufacturing factory based in Karen, Nairobi.

Responsibilities

• Receipt
• Secure storage
• Timely issuance of raw materials required for chemical production.

• Receiving & Inspection: Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming chemical raw materials against purchase orders and specifications; ensure they are stored safely in designated zones.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory counts, update the tracking database, and monitor stock thresholds to trigger timely purchasing orders aligned with production schedules.
• Production Issuance: Prepare, verify, and issue exact raw material batches to the production floor based on daily manufacturing schedules.
• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous data logs of all transactional actions including receipts, internal issues, vendor returns, and waste.
• Stock Reconciliation: Participate in routine physical stocktakes and actively reconcile database discrepancies.
• HSE Compliance: Adhere strictly to factory safety and environmental regulations concerning the physical handling and storage of chemical raw materials.

• Familiarity with inventory management software, database entries, and knowledge of general raw material properties.
• Elite organizational and time management skills, sharp attention to numerical accuracy, and strong cross-functional teamwork dynamics.

• Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related operational field.
• Previous hands-on experience handling raw materials and inventory management within a manufacturing plant (exposure to the chemical or paint industries is highly preferred).
