Job specification

  • Participating in provision of technical support on implementation of procurement strategies;
  • Assisting in the implementation of approved consolidated procurement plan;
  • Assisting in the preparation, compilation and submission of reports to management;
  • Supporting the implementation of appropriate internal control systems and conduct regular checks on stocks and issuance procedures;
  • Assisting in the identification of surplus, obsolete, and unserviceable stores and equipment for disposal purposes;
  • Participating in market surveys by collecting and analyzing data to establish prevailing market prices for standard goods; and
  • Supporting the clerical roles in the department.

Person specification

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C+ (Plus) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Commerce, Business Administration (Supply Management option), economics, procurement and supply chain management, marketing, law or their equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
