Responsibilities or duties
This is the entry grade for the Supply Chain Management Assistant cadre.
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement, Asset and Disposal Act and Regulations;
- Facilitating inspection and acceptance of goods and services;
- Receipts of good and services;
- Processing of delivery notes and invoices;
- Managing and undertaking stock taking and re-order levels;
- Ensuring that the stores are clean at all times;
- Updating bin card records;
- Labelling the store wares; and
- Preparing and maintaining of store records.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must be in possession of: -
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Procurement, Procurement and Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- A valid practicing License from Kenya Institute of Supply Management;
- Certificate in computer application skills.
