JOB DETAILS:

Position: Trolley Assistant
Industry: Retail / Supermarket

Job Summary:
The Trolley Assistant will ensure shopping trolleys and baskets are readily available, clean, organized, and safely positioned while supporting customers and maintaining order around the store entrance and parking areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and organize shopping trolleys and baskets.
• Return trolleys from the parking area and other designated locations.
• Assist customers with trolleys when required.
• Ensure trolleys are clean and in usable condition.
• Report damaged or faulty trolleys to the supervisor.
• Maintain order around entrances, trolley bays, and designated parking areas.
• Assist elderly, disabled, or other customers who may require help with trolleys.
• Ensure trolley collection areas remain neat and accessible.
• Follow store safety procedures while moving trolleys.
• Support general store operations when assigned.

Requirements:

• KCSE certificate or equivalent is an advantage.
• Previous retail or customer-service experience is beneficial.
• Physically fit and able to push and move trolleys safely.
• Friendly, helpful, and customer-oriented.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
