JOB ADVERTISEMENT Supervisor: Operations Manager/ Operations Associate/ Transport Associate 1. Job Description – Driver Job Summary: We are looking for experienced and professional **Truck Drivers** to join our team for the transportation of goods using -icon, -yton, -yton, and to-ton trucks. The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license, a good track record, and strong customer service skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety of the truck at all times by conducting vehicle pre-checks prior to setting off for the journey and ensure that the vehicle is fitted with all accessories, tools and First aid boxes.
  • Collect consignments from warehouses, suppliers, or collection points as instructed with strict adherence to all road traffic rules, the Motor Vehicle Act and the Company rules & regulations governing consignment and motor vehicle handling.
  • Verify consignments against documentation before loading, ensure no damages and no discrepancy.
  • Ensure proper handling, loading, and securing of cargo.
  • Deliver shipments On Time & In Full (OTIF) as per KPI requirements.
  • Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD):
    • Signed and stamped delivery notes/invoices at delivery point.
    • Submit soft copies within required timelines (same day Nairobi, 2 days upcountry).
    • Return hard copies within stipulated timelines (1 day Nairobi, 4 days upcountry).
  • Communicate immediately to the Adamant Operations team about delays, incidents, damages, or backdoor returns.
  • Ensure temperature-controlled units (if assigned) are running before loading and properly monitored during the journey.
  • Organize the vehicle’s maintenance and repair and to perform light duties such as cleaning and minor vehicle maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries
  • Assist in administrative duties such as following up of logistics files in order and ensuring their accuracy (log books, fuel forms etc.).
  • Reporting any accidents/incidents involving the vehicle under custody to Adamant Operations team
  • Perform daily post-trip vehicle inspections; report defects promptly to Adamant Operations team
  • Complete daily delivery reports, trip logs, and submit to the to Adamant Operations team
  • Interact professionally with clients and colleagues

  • Valid Kenyan driving license (relevant class for the vehicle).
  • National ID.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • DOSH approved medical report.
  • Minimum y year prior experience in distribution and logistics driving.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety rules and traffic laws in Kenya.
  • Basic technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance (advantageous).
