The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently between locations. This role requires a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles (trucks, tractor-trailers, etc.) to deliver goods to specified destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (tires, brakes, lights, fluids).
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement.
• Plan routes using GPS and maps to avoid delays and optimize fuel efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries (ELD compliance).
• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
• Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical problems promptly.
• Keep the truck clean and organized.
• Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B, as required).
• Minimum 1 years of experience as a truck driver.
• Clean driving record (MVR) and no recent traffic violations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD (Electronic Logging Device) usage.
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong time-management and route-planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle long hours on the road.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
