Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced, disciplined, and dependable VIP Driver to provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services. The ideal candidate must have previous experience driving VIPs or high-profile individuals, with demonstrable experience operating within political environments and/or political campaigns. The position requires exceptional discretion, flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for the assigned principal and authorized passengers.
  • Plan routes in advance and adapt quickly to changing schedules, traffic conditions, and travel requirements.
  • Apply defensive driving principles and maintain a high standard of passenger safety at all times.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding movements, schedules, conversations, and other sensitive information.
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly identify or report mechanical and safety concerns.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, fueled, serviced, and ready for use at all times.
  • Maintain appropriate vehicle, mileage, fuel, and servicing records where required.
  • Observe all Kenyan traffic laws and road safety requirements.
  • Maintain professional grooming, conduct, and etiquette at all times.
  • Remain flexible and responsive to changing schedules, including weekends and public holidays as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Age between 35 and 50 years.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience, with proven experience driving VIPs, political principals, or other high-profile individuals.
  • Previous experience within political campaigns or political environments is highly preferred.
  • Valid Kenyan driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct is mandatory.
  • Defensive Driving Certificate from a recognized institution is required.
  • Good knowledge of Nairobi roads, including Mt. Kenya roads, traffic patterns, alternative routes, and navigation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify and report faults.
  • First Aid training/certification will be an added advantage.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to remain composed and exercise good judgment under pressure.
  • Must currently reside within Nairobi or its immediate environs.
  • Must be available to report to work immediately.

Work Schedule & Conduct

  • Candidates must have a high degree of schedule flexibility and be available as required, including weekends and public holidays, subject to applicable statutory rest days and leave entitlements.
  • This is a strictly non-smoking and alcohol-free role. If you smoke, drink, or use any form of substances please don't apply!
  • The successful candidate must maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times.

  • Ksh 50,000 gross monthly salary.
  • Initial 6-month probationary contract.
