Background

Our client is seeking a friendly, attentive, and customer-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking accurate orders, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
• Present menus, explain menu items and daily specials, and make recommendations upon request.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
• Check on guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or requests.
• Clear tables, clean dining areas, and reset tables for the next guests.
• Process guest bills, handle cash and card payments, and issue receipts.
• Follow all restaurant hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar customer service role is preferred; however, recent graduates with a degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to work and want to work in the bush.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• The ability to memories orders.
• The ability to get on with a wide range of customers
• Must be willing to learn.
