The warehouse associate supports daily warehouse operations such as receiving , processing and dispatch of orders are executed efficiently and accurately. The role requires maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy and use of automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process into the store inventory and ensure accuracy and check for damages and complete documentation from suppliers.
- Sort, label, and store products in the designated locations using the WMS.
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare orders for delivery ensuring compliance to customer specifications and standards.
- Adhere to store the standard operating procedures and policies in the stores
- Use handheld scanners and WMS tools to track inventory movements.
- Replenish pick locations using automated storage systems.
- Perform cycle counts and stock verification using the WMS.
- Identify and report system or inventory issues.
- Provide monthly reports on stock position.
- Adherence to safety standards in the warehouse
Key Performance Indicators
- TAT on order picking and packing.
- TAT on receiving of goods.
- Picking accuracy- percentage of orders picked without errors.
- Inventory counts accuracy.
- Packing and dispatch accuracy.
- Order fulfillment rate.
- Safety compliance
Knowledge, Experience and Personal Attributes
- Diploma in supply chain, logistics or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse operations.
- Experience working in an automated or semi-automated warehouse.
- Computer literacy including strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- SAP experience is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Detail -oriented with strong operational discipline.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which requires physical strength- stand for long periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
