Responsibilities or duties

Dispatch Operations:

  • Enforce dispatch procedures and warehouse SOPs, ensuring all dispatch documents (loading sheets, route lists, invoices) are complete and properly recorded.
  • Ensure all dispatched goods match loading documentation, are intact, and are loaded appropriately into pre-cooled refrigerated trucks where required.
  • Ensure timely and seamless dispatch and delivery of goods to customers while maintaining high service standards and minimizing complaints.

Receiving & Returns:

  • Verify that all goods received are in good condition, properly packed, and have visible batch numbers and expiry dates, ensuring they match transfer documentation and reporting any discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure returned equipment and market returns are properly cleaned, approved, and documented according to company procedures.

Fleet & Equipment Management:

  • Maintain custody of fuel cards, coordinate scheduled fuelling, and keep accurate fuel and maintenance records while reporting vehicle breakdowns and service needs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of branch equipment including generators, cold rooms, freezers, and vehicles, while maintaining accurate asset and freezer movement records.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with country and state regulations including distribution licences, truck and pushcart branding, and staff medical certification requirements.

Route Planning:

  • Plan and coordinate delivery routes, allocate trucks and delivery staff, and work closely with the Sales Manager to ensure efficient weekly distribution planning and operations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record in warehouse or depot management operations.
  • Experience coordinating dispatch, stock receiving, and logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills.
