Warehouse & Stores Manager at Fireside Engineering Group

Responsibilities or duties

Make arrangements on Purchase and regulation of equipment. Handle clients' staff correspondence and inquiries about equipment.

Prevent unauthorized persons from entering into the stores. Co-ordinate the work of staff in the stores department.

Periodic comparison of balances with physical quantities in stock.

Advise management of obsolete and slow moving stocks. Prepare daily reports and share with relevant departments.

Manage/ Prepare and analyze decommissions.

Assist in cost research and comparisons of various equipment.

Issue and keep records on available/ issued or needed PPE

Inventory Management, maintain accurate stock records and ensure proper stock levels. Warehouse Operations, oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.

Team Management, Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, plan and organize staff shifts and schedules.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including warehouse safety practices. Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse reports, track and analyze warehouse performance metrics.

Receive materials into the stores after checking the contents of the goods received. Store the materials in the allotted places.

Maintain proper record of receipt, issue and balance of all items of materials. Monthly stock balances and reconciliations.

Employ location marking and stores coding for easy identification of every item of stores. Protect material/ equipment from losses due to fire, theft, evaporation, obsolescences etc.

Issue materials and equipment, against proper authorization in right specification and at the right time.

Ensure that the stock neither exceeds the maximum level nor go below the minimum level at any point of time.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Dip/ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.

A thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and the day to day operations.

Expertise in inventory management, store keeping, storage methods and control techniques.

Excellent communication with procurement, logistics, production and finance departments.

Understanding of workplace safety regulations, PPE requirements and OSHA standards.

Experience needed

3-7 years of experience in the warehouse setting having taken up a supervisory role.
