Task and Responsibilities.
- Monitor open-source and proprietary intelligence platforms for real-time incident detection across East Africa
- Maintain and update operational dashboards to reflect current threat environments and regional developments
- Escalate security incidents promptly and accurately in accordance with internal protocols
- Provide timely and concise reporting to clients and internal teams during emerging events or crises
- Coordinate with regional teams, vendors, and external stakeholders during live incidents
- Track and assess political, security, and operational developments that may impact client operations
- Support Control Risks consultants with incident data, situational awareness, and logistics coordination
- Maintain accurate logs, shift handover notes, and incident records in designated systems
- Participate in shift-based roster to ensure 24/7 monitoring and coverage
- Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring tools, alerting thresholds, and escalation workflows
- Recruitment consulting
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a security, intelligence, military, or operational support environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and situational awareness tools (e.g., mapping, tracking, or incident management platforms)
- High attention to detail and ability to assess evolving situations quickly
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- (Desirable) Knowledge of East African regional security dynamics and fluency in Swahili or French
