Kabarnet University College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

WATER SUPPLY ASSISTANT

Scale: KUC 5
Vacancy: 1
Reference: KUC/ADM/21/08/2026

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervising treatment works, including cleaning sedimentation tanks, flocculation chambers, chlorine contact tanks, and the main service.
2. Mixing chemicals.
3. Closing and opening sluice valves during water distribution.
4. Assisting in the storage of chemicals and maintaining general cleanliness of water treatment works.
5. Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements – Direct Appointment

Candidates must have:

• KCSE certificate.
• Certificate in Water Supply Operations or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years' relevant work experience.
• A Diploma in Water Engineering or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Requirements – Serving Officers

• Certificate in Water Supply Operations or equivalent.
• Served as Water Supply Operator, Scale KUC 4, for at least three (3) years.
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
• Diploma in Water Engineering or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: bachelor degree
