JOB DETAILS:
Background
A growing engineering and metalworks company specializing in fabrication and structural works is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing metal structures and components according to technical specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding, fitting, and fabrication of metal components
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints
- Cut, shape, and assemble materials using appropriate tools and equipment
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on metal structures and equipment
- Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Trade Test certification (Grade III, II, or I) is an added advantage
- Relevant hands-on training or apprenticeship experience is highly preferred
- Proven experience in welding, fitting, and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in using fabrication tools and welding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Relevant technical certification is an added advantage
