Background

A growing engineering and metalworks company specializing in fabrication and structural works is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing metal structures and components according to technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding, fitting, and fabrication of metal components
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints
  • Cut, shape, and assemble materials using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on metal structures and equipment
  • Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Trade Test certification (Grade III, II, or I) is an added advantage
  • Relevant hands-on training or apprenticeship experience is highly preferred
  • Proven experience in welding, fitting, and fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Skilled in using fabrication tools and welding equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship
  • Relevant technical certification is an added advantage
