This role is central to promoting transparency and accountability within county operations.
Job Description
- Provide independent and objective oversight of county audit activities.
- Assess adequacy of risk management and internal control systems.
- Ensure compliance with county financial management laws and policies.
- Evaluate audit reports and recommend corrective measures.
- Oversee implementation of audit recommendations by departments.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities to strengthen accountability systems.
- Promote ethical financial practices across county operations.
- Provide periodic reports on audit committee performance.
