JOB DETAILS:
. Dental Officer – Job Group K – 6 Posts – 3 Years Contract
Dental Officers are responsible for delivering oral health services in county hospitals and health facilities. Their work is critical in promoting dental health, treating oral diseases, and supporting public health interventions.
Job Description
- Conduct diagnosis and treatment of dental conditions in county facilities.
- Provide restorative, prosthetic, orthodontic, and preventive dental care.
- Administer minor oral surgical procedures and refer complex cases appropriately.
- Participate in community oral health education and outreach programs.
- Maintain dental records for patients and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Ensure sterilization and proper maintenance of dental equipment and instruments.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to dental students and interns where applicable.
- Collaborate with other health professionals in multidisciplinary teams for holistic care.
