Senior Warehouse Manager at CDL Human Resource
CDL was founded in early 2003 by its current Managing Director Lucy Mmari.Within her 14 year tenure in a well established logistics company, She honed her skill in human resources management and thereafter started CDL.
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our warehouse operations within the furniture industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large teams, overseeing logistics and inventory, and ensuring efficient workflow in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 100+ warehouse staff across multiple shifts.
- Oversee the entire warehouse operation including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch.
- Implement and maintain efficient stock control systems to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Collaborate closely with logistics teams to streamline distribution and transportation processes.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
- Manage warehouse budgets, costs, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a warehouse management role within the furniture industry.
- Proven experience managing 50 or more staff members in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Strong background in logistics, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with ERP systems specific to the furniture industry.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a warehouse management role within the furniture industry. Proven experience managing 50 or more staff members in a warehouse or distribution center. Strong background in logistics, inventory management, and supply chain operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
